Tech and Internet Moves: Spring 2022
It’s been a busy first quarter to 2022, with a lot of candidate moves, a sure sign of a hot market.
Software
HR software start-up Factorial HR appointed a new CPO Carlos Jimenez. Carlos is the former Head of Product at Rappi.
Survey platform business Typeform hired Richard Jones as VP Product Design. Richard is the former Chief Product Officer at Mind Gym.
Marketing performance platform provider Siteimprove has appointed Clay Garrard as Vice President of Engineering Platform and Britt Provost as Chief Human Resources Officer. Clay previously served as Director of Technology at Expedia and Britt is the former EVP of People & Culture at Accolade.
Six Degrees (6DG) – a cloud-led managed service provider, appointed Phil Wood as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer. Phil served as IT Service Delivery Director at easyJet.
Ecommerce and subscription billing solution company Cleverbridge hired Wendi C. Sturgis as CEO. Wendi is the former Independent Director at Sabre Corporation.
IT Transformation Services provider Roc Technologies promoted Ian Furness to the role of CEO. Ian previously served as Managing Director at Roc Technologies.
Samuel Skott, Member of the Board of Directors at Ambea, joins Tech consultant company HiQ as CEO.
Pretty Technical – enterprise-grade products and operational support provider, hired Emma Blaylock as its new CEO. Emma served as Senior Consultant at Rokker.
Internet and Fintech
Digital private banking service Xapo appointed Djoeri Timessen as VP of Product and Dr Wayne Mullen as Chief People Officer. Djoeri had been Managing Director for Procys and Wayne is Managing Director for Mollitiam Partners.
Digital lender Lendable has hired James Caviness as the new Chief Product Officer. James is also Investor/Advisor at Remitly.
PicsArt – free-to-use design content platform, hired its new VP Product Growth Siddhant Singh. He previously served as VP Growth & Marketing Discovery + EMEA at Discovery.
Infarm – the cloud-controlled vertical farming company, appointed Taha Ghaznavi as the new Director of Product. Taha had been Head of Product for Zalando.
Virtual labs and science simulations platform Labster has hired Hope Frank as Chief Marketing Officer. Hope also serves as Executive Board Member, Advising Chief Marketing Officer at Influential.
Travel search and ticket booking company Omio appointed Tommaso del Re as VP Partnerships. He is the former Senior Director and Head of Business Development for EMEA and LatAm at Linkedin.
Seccl – digital custody, trading and settlement API provider for fintech firms, hired its new CEO David Ferguson. David was previously founder and CEO of Nucleus Financial Group.
Online payments company Paysafe announced that Daniel Henson joined the company as its new Non-Executive Chairman. Daniel is also Director at Alight Solutions.
DAZN announced that Shay Segev was promoted to its new Group CEO. Formerly Shay served as Co-Chief Executive Officer at the company.
Payment card app Curve has appointed Eric Molitor as CTO. Eric had been VP of Engineering for Improbable.
Cloud native SaaS bank operating system 10x banking has hired three executives – Lucy Heavens as Chief Marketing Officer, Tom Phillips as Senior Vice President, Business Development, Europe and Nicholle Lindner as Regional Director, APAC. Lucy is Co-founder & Advisory Board Member of RegTech Women and the former Marketing Director, Board Member at Wealth Dynamix. Tom served as Strategic Business Development – Banking & Digital for FIS. Nicholle had been SVP Customer Growth APAC at Zafin.
Skilling – fintech company focused on CFD trading, appointed David Hodge as Chief Marketing Officer. David formerly served as CEO – EMEA & Global Chief Revenue Officer at OANDA.
Credit app TotallyMoney has hired Rebecca Shears as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Rebecca is the former Interim Chief Marketing Officer for Interim Chief Marketing Officer for Coadjute.
Auden – for-profit Social Enterprise providing short-term loan, has appointed Shakeel Butt as its new CTO. He previously served as CTO (Technology & Delivery) at Green Flag Breakdown.
Former CTO of Curve, Matt Collinge, has joined Sequence as CTO – a financial software start-up in UK.

Gamified casinos provider Hero Gaming has appointed Patrick Jonker as its new CEO. Formerly Patrick had served as CEO / International Managing Director at Mr Green ltd / William Hill International.
Colin Cole-Johnson has been appointed as the new CEO of Bede Gaming. He joins the company from Entain, where he had been Gaming Product Director.
GameTech company Kaizen Gaming hired Stella Voulgaraki as Chief People Officer. She is the former Chief People Officer at INTRASOFT International.
iGaming software solutions provider Digitain has announced the appointment of Matthew Charlesworth as Managing Director of its casino division. Matthew joins from Entain, where he was Head of Live Casino.
Xace – payments service provider for online gaming industry, has appointed iGaming and fintech investor Julian Buhagiar as Non-Executive Director.
Online banking payments service Trustly has promoted Johan Tjärnberg as CEO. Johan was Chairman Of The Board at Trustly.
eGaming sites infrastructure developer Eminence Holdings has welcomed Mark Robson as Chief Executive Officer. Mark is Co-Founder of Champion Sports and previously served as Chief Executive Officer at King Gaming.
Andrew Clucas has been promoted as Chief Executive Officer of gambling software company Microgaming, where he had been Chief Operating Officer for four years.
Florian Diederichsen has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer of OpenBet, provider of sportsbook technology, content and services. Florian is Non-executive Chairman of InPlayer and served as CTO at DAZN.
iGaming platform and media provider Gaming Innovation Group has promoted Nicola Fitton as COO. Nicola is the former Director of Media Managed Services of the company.
Global esports entertainment network Blast has announced that Charlotte Kenny has been appointed as Managing Director and James Woollard became Head of Commercial Solutions. Charlotte also serves as Non Executive Board Member at LTT Sports. James is the former Senior Process and Planning Manager, Business Solutions at FIFA.

Ubisoft announced the promotion of François-Xavier Deniele as Senior Director of Esports and Competitive Gaming. He is the former Director, Esports, EMEA.
Mobile gaming giant King has announced that Tjodolf Sommestad has been promoted as President. He has been working at the company since 2011 and most recently served as Chief Development Officer.
Mobile gaming company Playdemic has promoted Gareth Jones as its new VP – Head of Playdemic Studios. Gareth has spent almost 10 years in the company and recently he was Head of Production.
Game developer and publisher FunPlus has appointed Jeremy Horn as Vice President, Head of Innovation. Jeremy Horn had served as Vice President Business Strategy at Jam City.
Esports organization OG Esports has hired Michael Schwartz as Head of Esports. Michael had been Director of Competitive Esports at Immortals Gaming Club (IGC).

Kolex – platform for creating, distributing and trading NFT’s, hired Chris Hana as VP Business Development. Chris is Co-Founder of The Esports Observer and Advisor/Judge/Mentor at Stadia Ventures.
