Real estate company Purplebricks Group has appointed Ben Carter as Chief Marketing Officer. Previously Ben held senior marketing positions at companies like Just Eat, notonthehighstreet.com and Betfair.
Ocado has appointed Richard Haythornthwaite as its new Non-Executive Chair. Richard also serves as Chairman at Mastercard, Xynteo, Globant and others.
On the Beach Group has appointed Zoe Harris as Chief Marketing Officer. Harris previously served as CMO at GoCompare and then as CEO of Look After My Bills at GoCo Group.
Zinc Media Group has appointed ITN Director of Post-Production Olly Strous to the newly created role of Chief Technology Officer.
Chess e-learning business Play Magnus Group hired Gerald Tan as its new Chief Product Officer. Gerald previously served as President at EF Education First.
E-learning business Banjo Robinson hired Kenton Jones as COO. Kenton previously served as Product Director at Expedia Group.
A former eBay executive has been appointed as Vice President of Finance at travel website Skyscanner. Laurence Tracol will lead Skyscanner’s global finance function across Europe, the US and APAC.
Google hired its first Chief Information Security Officer Google Cloud, British-born Phil Venables. He has held different CISO roles in some of the world’s biggest banks such as Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank.
Online homeware search engine ufurnish.com has appointed David Marshall as its Chief Technical Officer. Marshall previously served as CTO at Bookatable and Chief Technical Architect at Lastminute.com.
Onefinestay CEO Javier Cedillo-Espin has left the home-sharing platform to join Paris and Tel Aviv based serviced apartment platform Sweet Inn as its new CEO.
London-based bike subscription platform Buzzbike has appointed Shaun Stanworth as Head of Engineering and Alp Turgut as Lead Product Designer. Shaun previously worked at Freeformers, Onefinestay and Fronted whilst Alp served at Nike, Atlassian, Salesforce and O2.
Yoox Net-a-Porter Group has hired Geoffroy Lefebvre as its new Chief Executive Officer and Mirko Nobili as Global Operations Director. Lefebvre previously served as Group Digital Distribution Director at the parent company Richemont, whilst Nobili previously spent seven years with Burberry, where he most recently held the role of Vice President Global Customer Fullfilment.
Matchesfashion has promoted its Fashion and Buying Director Natalie Kingham to the newly created role of Global Fashion Officer.
Software and Broader Tech
Sportradar has hired Alex Gersh as its new CFO. Alex is the former CFO of Cazoo and CFO of Paddy Power Betfair.
Financial service provider iBanFirst, delivering solutions across banking borders, appointed the former Euronext Engineer and Technology Director, Said Layadi, as Chief Technology Officer.
NEP Group has appointed Andrew Jordan to the role of Global Chief Technology Officer. Jordan held senior technology roles at companies such as CWT, NBCUniversal and Thomson Reuters.
Automation and analytics software business Waylay has appointed Leonard Donnelly as its new CEO. Donnelly previously held senior leadership positions at companies such as Netronome, Artofus and ServiceFrame.
Cloud data integration software company Talend hired Krishna Tammana as Chief Technology Officer. Krishna is the former VP Engineering at Splunk.
Payment processing platform Klarna has appointed Michael Moritz, partner at Sequoia Capital, as the Chairman of the Klarna Board of Directors.
Customer service software business Zendesk has appointed Eric Jorgensen as Senior Director, Enterprise Sales UK&I. Eric previously served as Senior Director Sales at New Relic.
Tencent has hired Mickael Bougis as Director of Business Development. Mickael is the former VP Marketing at Flaregames.
The KKR-backed market intelligence company GFK has appointed Sarah Lawton-Duma as VP Portfolio Program Management. Sarah previously served as Group Head PPMO at Penta Investments.
