Following the COVID-19-driven gaming boom, the growth of the gaming market has slowed in recent years, with many companies facing challenges due to market saturation and global economic factors. However, some smaller mobile game companies in Europe have managed to grow significantly over the past year. This report highlights the top 25 fastest-growing mobile gaming companies in Europe from a headcount perspective.
Methodology
This report features entrepreneurial mobile games companies with between 20 and 300 employees and are headquartered in EMEA. We have only used data on employees based in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and candidates based outside of these geographies are not counted as part of our statistics. The data in this report is based on data from LinkedIn and it is worth noting that whilst many people have a LinkedIn profile, not every employee of every mobile games company has an accurate, up to date profile. It is best therefore to view the statistics within this report as being indicative of patterns and trends rather than being wholly accurate and complete statistics to be taken as fact. The data used in this report has been collated during March 2025, and we will provide updated reports every six months.

Summary
After the success of Dream Games, Peak, Rollic, and others, we’re seeing a new generation of Turkish mobile game companies emerge. In the top 10 companies, half are based in Turkey. The fastest-growing company, Grand Games, doubled its headcount in just one year. We can also see that the Ukrainian mobile game developer, Burny Games, has grown significantly despite the political situation there. EMEA remains perhaps the most influential region in global mobile gaming.
